Will I get my 500 mile bonus for checking in online?
Yes. Subject to United's promotion terms, if your reservation includes your mileage plus number you will automatically get the 500 mile credit for checking in online. United periodically offers and removes this bonus from their program, so check with them for the latest. What if I am not at my computer when the email comes, or what if I do not have a printer available?
Request a reprint of your ticket from a United Airlines agent or from an automated kiosk in the airport terminal.

Does it work for travel anywhere in the world?
No. For United, all travel must be within the United States.

During United checkin, a question is asked on how many bags are to be checked. How does checkinsooner handle this?

During United checkin, I have the option to confirm an upgrade with my banked electronic upgrade awards. Additionally, I have several different options for upgrading (15,000 miles, regional upgrades, system-wide upgrades). Does checkinsooner use these, and which one does it know to use?

During United checkin, sometimes I am offered an upsell to move from economy to economy plus for a fee. How does checkinsooner handle this?

Does it work for one way tickets?
Yes.

Does it work for round trip tickets?
Currently no. Checkin requests are secured for both outbound and return flights on all airlines except United. The system only gets the current available checkin segment from united.com, so that means you have to order a second checkin request for your return segment after you land in your destination city. This limitation only affects United Airlines round trip tickets.

Does it work for multiple people on a single record locator?
No. This functionality does exist for Southwest flights, but not for other airlines. On United there must be one person per record locator

What is the deadline for placing the order for an advance checkin?
There is no deadline. You can use the Check In Now button at anytime. Note that if your outbound flight is less than 24 hours from departure, checkinsooner will not check in the outbound flight, but will checkin the return.
If you are less than 24 hours from departure please checkin with United at united.com for the departing flight and also checkin now with checkinsooner.com to secure the boarding pass on the return flight.
