Checkinsooner.com offers a simple way for you to communicate information to your airline and check in for your
flight in when it is convenient for you to do so. New users start by
filling out the form under “guests” at the home page. Use
the drop down selection to select which airline you will be traveling
on. Then, fill in your first name, last name, record locator, and an
email where you want your boarding pass sent.
Checkinsooner is not a travel agency, and you can not buy your
airline tickets on this site. You need to purchase your airline
tickets through normal channels, such as the airline website or a
travel agent. Once you have purchased your ticket, get the 6
character confirmation code (also known as a record locator). The
record locator is required for checkin.
|
Once you enter your record locator and name, we check with the airline and get your flight details, including your outbound city (to check the time zone) and exact travel time. |

Once the data is entered and confirmed, it is stored on our secure
servers in our data center. We get the exact checkin policy for each
airline, and as soon as the airline is ready to accept checkins for
your flight we transmit your data to the airline. Your checkin
secures your seat on your flight.
The policy on most airlines is to allow checkins no sooner than 24
hours before an outbound or returning flight.
You are checked in within 3 minutes of the airline opening a flight for online checkin.

We also capture the boarding pass the airline sends to us when we
check in. We take that boarding pass and email it to you. You are
checked in at the earliest possible moment and your boarding pass is
in your inbox. Print it and use it to go right past security and to
your gate. |

A little more about the technology... CheckinSooner uses a time-shifted proxy server to facilitate communications between a flyer and an airline. Proxy servers are common in corporate networks- they broker the connection between a user and a website when the user is not allowed to communicate directly with that website. You can find out more about proxy servers here. Major suppliers of proxy software include Microsoft, Cisco and BlueCoat systems. |
